Monk majolica toby jug produced by Thomas Forester & Sons of Longton, England, circa 1900. This monk is very similar in design to those of Creil et Montereau of France. This Monk toby jug depicts a pious and portly servant of God dressed in his monastic robes a black hat and brown rope belt. Both hands are placed on his ample belly.
