Miss Studious The Schoolmistress toby jug - Royal Doulton 1985 - 1991

Miss Studious The Schoolmistress 3/4 body toby jug designed by William K. Harper and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, from 1985 to 1991. Catherine "Kitty" Studious, the teacher of young children, may be seen in the Municipal Library with Miss Loan, looking for story books and books about plays and literary criticism. She is a member of the Doultonville Literary Society and also of the Repertory Theatre Company where she is keen to play romantic leads. Her slim, athletic figure can be seen on the beach collecting shells, pebbles and fossils for the classroom, and sometimes on the moorlands in the company of Byron Pentre-Meta, the poet, collecting flowers for drying and pressing. He has a cottage there. This is one of twenty-five Doultonville toby jugs.
