Miss Liberty Claus face pot - Kevin Francis circa 2001

Miss Liberty face pot produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 2001. The Statue of Liberty, also known as Miss Liberty, is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York City. The copper statue, a gift from the people of France, was designed by French sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi. The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886. The statue is a figure of Libertas, the Roman Goddess of Liberty. She holds a torch above her head with her right hand, and in her left hand carries a tabula ansata inscribed JULY IV MDCCLXXVI, the date of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. Miss Liberty's face pot quote, "God Bless America", is an American patriotic song written by Irving Berlin during World War I in 1918 and revised in the run up to World War II in 1938. "God Bless America" takes the form of a prayer for God's blessing and peace for the nation.
