Martha Gunn toby jug designed by Arthur Gredington and produced by Beswick of Longton, England, circa 1950. Martha Gunn (1727-1815) was a ladies bather at the sea in Brighton who was very experienced and highly requested. She became famous throughout England for bathing the Prince of Wales King George III's son in 1785.
