Madam Crystal The Clairvoyant toby jug - Royal Doulton 1984 - 1991

Madam Crystal The Clairvoyant 3/4 body toby jug designed by William K. Harper and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, from 1984 to 1991. Madam Crystal (Mrs. Myfanwy Jones) can be consulted in the dimly lit interior of her booth near the end of the old pier that juts out into the sea. Seated at a small table she will, for a fee, dispense dark omens or bright prospects of romance and prosperity, revealed by cards, crystal ball or upturned palm. When not predicting the future, Mrs. Jones, a talented pianist, may be seen entertaining patrons of the Dog and Duck Inn on a Saturday evening or the pensioners of the Arndale Old People's Home on weekday evenings, where she is much appreciated. This is one of twenty-five Doultonville toby jugs.
