Leprechaun toby jug designed by Stanley J. Taylor and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, in a 1994 limited edition of 2,500. In Irish folklore, the Leprechaun is a Fairy in the form of a tiny old man, often depicted as a shoemaker. Leprechauns are mischievous and elusive creatures, reputed to possess buried crocks of gold, the location of which they will reveal to anyone who catches him. This Leprechaun is greedily hugging his pot of gold.
