Leprechaun toby jug - Crown Winsor circa 1985

Leprechaun toby jug produced by Crown Winsor of Longton, England, circa 1985. A leprechaun is a diminutive supernatural being in Irish folklore, classed by some as a type of solitary fairy. They are usually depicted as little bearded men, wearing a green coat and hat, who partake in mischief. In more recent times, they have been depicted as shoemakers who have a hidden pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. A tree branch and shamrock form the handle of this jug.
