Lady Monkey toby jug produced by Jacob Petit of Paris, France, circa 1860. This finely dressed lady monkey is a minor noblewoman who spends much time at one of the 19th century French baron's courts. Always striving to improve her position at court, this lady monkey is offering a bottle of wine to another member of court. The jug features an ornate handle.
