John Major character jug designed by Patricia Parsons and produced by Influential Friends of England in a 1994 limited edition of 150. Sir John Major (1943- ) is a British former politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party from 1990 to 1997, and as Member of Parliament (MP) for Huntingdon from 1979 to 2001. Prior to becoming prime minister, Major served as Foreign Secretary and Chancellor of the Exchequer in the third Thatcher government. This is the largest of three known sizes with the other two standing 4 1/2" and 4" tall. Note the different expressions on Major's face on the difference sizes of jugs.
