John Lennon face pot version 1 produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 2001. The Beatles, probably the world's most famous rock and roll group, formed in Liverpool, England in the early 1960s, signing their first record contract with EMI in 1962. John Lennon (1940-1980) played the rhythm guitar and was one of the group's lead singers, along with George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. Lennon and McCartney were responsible for many of the melodies and lyrics that quickly caught on and created a wave of hysteria called "Beatlemania". The group's creativity and versatility kept them at the top of the world's music scene for many years. The group split up in 1971 to follow their own individual careers, but the tracks they recorded together have taken on a timeless quality for the world to enjoy for generations to come. Lennon also had great success as a solo artist. The face pot quote, "All You Need Is Love", is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as a non-album single in July 1967 written by John Lennon.
