Je Sais Tout toby jug - Fives-Lille circa 1910

Je Sais Tout majolica toby jug produced by Fives-Lille circa 1910. "Je sais tout" was a French science magazine published from 1905 to 1922. This Je Sais Tout character was the logo of the magazine. The Je Sais Tout (translated as "I Know All") toby jug was produced as a promotional giveaway for subscribers of the encyclopedic magazine who subscribed for a certain amount of time. Je Sais Tout dressed in his scholarly robes rests his left hand on the stack of magazines with his right hand pointed to his head absorbing all of the information. This is a rare jug. Subscribers could choose between the toby jug or a humidor.
