I'm on the Blacklist majolica 3/4 body toby jug produced in England circa 1906. This jug depicts a drunken man who is holding a sign that proclaims "I am on the Black List." This most likely refers to the practice of blacklisting people for employment due to their religious political or other views. A person thus blacklisted could not find employment and generally became distrusted and avoided by the public. This jug can also be found with "I am on the Blacklist at Blackpool", "I'm banned from Blackpool", "I've been banned", "Recaerdo", and "On the Dole" written on his sign. Versions have been found with markings of "Made in England" and "Rd No 476210" which dates the design's registration to 1906.
