Honest Measure toby jug small pink vest - Royal Doulton 1939

Honest Measure small toby jug colorway with a pink vest designed by Harry Fenton and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, in 1939. "Honest Measure - Drink at Leisure" runs the inscription on this jug and this Toby evidently intends to live up to it. This jug is a direct copy of Harry Simeon's 1920 stoneware ink well and preserves pot, which in turn, were inspired by the Squat Tobies of the 19th Century. This is a rare colorway with a pink vest.
