Hobo toby jug - Japan circa 1970

Hobo toby jug produced in Japan circa 1970. A hobo is a homeless person, tramp or vagrant. He is commonly associated with hitching free rides about freight cars on the trains that crisscross the United States. This hobo is clutching a full bottle of wine in both hands while leaning against a light post. The wavy light post forms the handle of the jug, which is how the hobo perceives the light post after a few bottles of wine.
