H. Goering 3/4 body toby jug produced by Bairstow Manor Pottery of Hanley, England, circa 2015 in a limited edition of 25. Hermann Wilhelm Goering (1893-1946) was a German politician, military leader and convicted war criminal. He was one of the most powerful figures in the Nazi Party, which ruled Germany from 1933 to 1945. After the war, Goering was convicted of conspiracy, crimes against peace, war crimes and crimes against humanity at the Nuremberg trials in 1946. He was sentenced to death by hanging, but committed suicide by ingesting cyanide hours before the sentence was to be carried out. Commissioned by Dave Tomlin, this toby jug depicts Goering in his Luftwaffe uniform and was modeled by Ray Noble.
