Grey Bertie face pot - Kevin Francis circa 2003

Grey Bertie face pot produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 2003. Bertie the bulldog is a British breed of dog of mastiff type. Bulldog's are a medium sized, muscular dog with large heads with a thick folds of skin around the face and shoulders. While often used as a symbol of ferocity and courage, modern bulldogs are generally friendly, amiable dogs. With her face pot quote of "It's not easy being a bitch", Grey Bertie is telling the world that being a female bulldog is not an easy life.
