Flute Player character jug - Royal Tara circa 1993

Flute Player character jug produced by Royal Tara of Galway, Ireland, circa 1993. This skilled flute player's favorite instrument is an Irish 8-holed flute. The 8-hole flutes have two non-fingered exhaust ports. This allows the flute to be longer without changing the pitch of the flute. On many Irish flutes these exhaust ports are in the position of lower notes on the flute. The character jug features Royal Tara's trellis shamrock decor, and a flute forms the handle of the jug.
