Flower Seller toby jug - Goebel circa 1950

Flower Seller toby jug produced by W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik of Bavaria, Germany, circa 1950. A flower seller, normally a woman, traditionally sells flowers on the street. Often the flowers are carried in a basket, for example. Quite common in Victorian London, the profession has slowly died out. The subject matter has been a favorite of artists. She is carrying a basket of freshly cut flowers in her right arm.
