Flamingo face pot pink colorway - Kevin Francis 2006

Flamingo face pot produced in a pink colorway by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 2006 limited edition of 225. A flamingo is a type of wading bird in the family Phoenicopteridae. A group of flamingoes is called a "flamboyance". Flamingos usually stand on one leg with the other tucked beneath the body but are also capable flyers. Young flamingos hatch with grayish-red plumage, but adults range from light pink to bright red due to aqueous bacteria and beta-carotene obtained from their food supply. This flamingo's face pot message is "Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings", meaning that without ambition, it doesn't matter how smart you are.
