Fireman character jug - Royal Doulton 2007

Fireman character jug designed by David Capewell and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, as the 2007 Royal Doulton International Collectors Club issue. Every small boy looks with envy upon the fireman's occupation, fighting fires and making daring rescues. Racing through the streets in their bright scarlet and black engine, siren clanging to alert pedestrians and traffic alike to their speedy approach, how efficiently the firemen arrive at the scene of the blaze is often a matter of life and death. However, not all calls to the fire brigade are so dire; occasionally a fireman's services may be needed to rescue an adventurous kitten stuck in a tree! The fireman's uniform is highly distinctive. A fire hose and oxygen mask form the handle of this jug.
