Ferengi toby jug - Kevin Francis Ceramics 1995

Ferengi toby jug modeled by Andy Moss and produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 1995 limited edition of 350. The Ferengi are a fictional extraterrestrial species in the 1987 American science fiction series "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and played a prominent role in the following series "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine". In "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", the Ferengi bartender Quark, his brother Rom, and nephew Nog played major roles, primarily for comedic purposes. Ferengi culture is hyper-capitalistic, focused on the acquisition of profit as the highest goal. Holding a bar of latinum in his left hand and phaser in his right, this Ferengi is defending his hoard of latinum bars that he is seated on. The Ferengi spaceship Marauder forms the handle of the jug.
