Elephant face pot USA - Kevin Francis 2012

Elephant face pot produced in a USA flag colorway by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 2012 patriotic limited edition of 25. Elephants are the largest existing land animals. Distinctive features of elephants include a long proboscis called a trunk, tusks, large ear flaps, pillar-like legs, and tough but sensitive skin. The trunk is used for breathing and is prehensile, bringing food and water to the mouth, and grasping objects. Tusks, which are derived from the incisor teeth, serve both as weapons and as tools for moving objects and digging. The large ear flaps assist in maintaining a constant body temperature as well as in communication. This face pot quote, "A smile happens in a flash but its memory can last a lifetime.", is a quote from Bertrand Russell and is very appropriate for an animal with a long memory.
