Edward Heath character jug - Price Kensington circa 1975

Edward Heath character jug in Rockingham finish produced by Price Kensington of Burslem, England, circa 1975. Edward Heath was the Conservative Party's Prime Minister of England from 1970 to 1973. In 1973 he resigned due to inflated wage controls and a strike in Northern Ireland. The handle of the character jug is the front of Heath's boat Morning Cloud with which he won England's Admiral's Cup race. A full colorway version is known. This has Gurgling Jug written across the front because of the sound the pitcher makes when liquid is poured out of it. This jug is a pair with a similarly designed Harold Wilson character jug.
