Eagle creamer toby jug in a black colorway produced by Royal Tettau Porcelain Factory of Bavaria, Germany, circa 1920 using its Royal Bayreuth tradename. Eagle is the common name for the golden eagle, bald eagle, and other birds of prey in the family Accipitridae. Eagles belong to several groups of genera, some of which are closely related. Eagles are large, powerfully-built birds of prey, with heavy heads and beaks. The beak is typically heavier than that of most other birds of prey. Eagles' eyes are extremely powerful. It is estimated that the wedge-tailed eagle has a visual acuity twice that of a typical human. This is the smallest of three known sizes with the water pitcher standing 6 1/4" tall and the milk pitcher standing 4 3/4" tall.
