Drunken Sal toby jug - Kevin Francis Ceramics 2000 Guild Issue

Drunken Sal toby jug produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in 2000 as the Guild Issue. Wearing a tattered red 18th century dress, white mob cap, and large brimmed hat, Drunken Sal personifies the gin drinking women of the day. Winking at the men who pass by, she is a slutish leering woman sitting on a barrel in the corner of a pub. She is raising a glass in her right hand and holding a bottle of gin in her left.
