Colonel Sanders character jug produced in a Rockingham finish by Margardt Unlimited in Los Angeles, California, circa 1970. Created in the image of the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, Harland "Colonel" Sander (1890-1980) was the face of the franchise. His daughter, Maggie Sanders, founded the studio pottery Margardt Unlimited and created this character jug among other ware. His cane forms the handle of the jug.
