Collier Toby Jug made in Prattware finish circa 1820. A Collier is a traditional coal miner. The Collier Toby is an Ordinary Toby jug with blackened face and hands which were the result of working in the mines all day. The Prattware finish is underglaze metallic oxides that have distinctive bright colors of yellows blues and browns typically associated with William Pratt of Fenton.
