Christmas Elf character jug version 2 designed by Susan Winget and produced in China for Certified International of Pleasantville, New York, circa 2015. A Christmas elf is a diminutive elf that lives with Santa Claus at the North Pole and acts as his helper. Christmas elves are usually depicted as green- or red-clad, with large, pointy ears and wearing pointy hats. Their primary responsibility is as toy builders, but they are also key to the daily operations at the North Pole. With a bell at the end, the tail of the Elf's hat forms the handle of the jug.
