Chinaman toby jug pink - Copeland circa 1870

Chinaman toby jug wearing a pink robe and produced by Copeland circa 1870, model number 349. Dressed in a full length flowing pink robe, the Chinaman's long braided queue or pony tail forms the handle of the jug. Note the gilding on the hat, shoes and handle. The Chinaman's Copeland mark was used between 1851 to 1885. This jug is very rare. Colorways in blue and multicolored robes are also known.
