Chinaman character jug produced by the Francis Gardner Factory of Verbilki, Russia, circa 1830. Chinaman is a term referring to a Chinese man or person, a Mainland Chinese national or, in some cases, a person native to geographical East Asia or of perceived East Asian race. The Chinaman is wearing a monocle in his left eye and his scarf forms the handle of the jug.
