Che Guerra character jug prototype colorway - Royal Doulton 2008

Che Guerra prototype character jug in black hat trial colorway designed by Robert I. Tabbenor and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, in 2008 commissioned by UKI Ceramics. Ernesto "Che" Guevara (1928 - 1967) was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary. A major figure of the Cuban Revolution, his stylized visage has become a ubiquitous countercultural symbol of rebellion and global insignia in popular culture. Guevara remains a controversial historical figure, polarized in the collective imagination in a multitude of biographies, memoirs, essays, documentaries, songs, and films. The island of Cuba, a speedboat and motorcycle form the handle of this jug. Intended to be a part of The Revolutionaries Collection, this jug was not put into production and the Collection was terminated. Four trial colorways exist.
