Charles Dickens thimble set produced by Johnson Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1985. From top to bottom, this set consists of David Copperfield, Mr. Micawber, Brother Cheeryble, Mr. Pickwick, and Miss Haversham. Note that the Oliver Twist and Mr. Pickwick thimbles carry the backstamp of Harmer Sculptures of Staffordshire, England. This set of Dickens thimbles was originally produced by Harmer around 1980 and then the molds were used by Johnson Ceramics to continue production of the line.
