Cat toby jug black majolica - Gustavsburg circa 1930

Cat large majolica toby jug in a black coat produced by Gustavsburg Porcelain Factory of Gustavsburg, Sweden, circa 1930. The cat pitcher was modeled after the Minton cat pitcher that was designed by Paul Comolera forty years earlier. Note the captured mouse under the cat's right paw. The cat's tail curls up to form the handle of the jug. The cat toby jug can be found in several colorways.
