Bull creamer character jug in a brown colorway produced by Royal Tettau Porcelain Factory of Bavaria, Germany, circa 1920 using its Royal Bayreuth tradename. A bull is a large, domesticated, cloven-hooved, male herbivore. They are a prominent modern member of the subfamily Bovinae and the most widespread species of the genus Bos. Cattle are commonly raised as livestock for meat, milk, and for hides, which are used to make leather. Cattle are commonly raised for meat, for dairy products, and for leather. As draft animals, they pull carts and farm implements. In India, cattle are sacred animals. Small breeds such as the miniature Zebu are kept as pets.
