Boozer in Barrel toby jug - Thulin circa 1905

Boozer in Barrel majolica toby jug produced by Thulin of Belgium circa 1905. This happy boozer has a grin on his face and a stogie in his mouth. He is stuck in a barrel of his favorite wine. He leads a hard life and booze is his only friend. The vine that wraps around the barrel forms the handle of the jug. The Boozer toby jug is part of a group with a humidor and character jug. The set was designed by Charles Ruchot and some pieces bear his name.
