Bob Hope character jug produced by Don Barclay of Hollywood, California, circa 1940. Leslie Townes "Bob" Hope (1903-2003) was a British-born American comedian, vaudevillian, actor, singer, and dancer. With a career that spanned nearly 80 years, Hope appeared in more than 70 short and feature films, 54 in which he starred. These included a series of seven Road to ... musical comedy films with Bing Crosby as Hope's top-billed partner. A golf club forms the handle of the jug. This is one of a series of jugs produced by Barclay called Hollywood Mugs.
