Batch character jug in a full colorway designed by Tony Sarg and produced by Stangl Pottery of Flemington, New Jersey, circa 1935. With a happy expression on his face, Batch is excited about what his day will bring. He is wearing a straw hat in preparation for an outdoor adventure. Batch's hat is not removeable. Known to Stangl collectors as stoby jugs (Stangl toby jugs), full colorways were original production in the 1930s to 1950s. Solid colorways were produced in the 1960s and 1970s.
