Baby in Cabbage majolica toby jug produced by Orchies of Orhcies, France, circa 1910. An old and popular French fairy tale asserts that baby boys are born in cabbages and baby girls are born in roses. This toby jug shows a cute newborn baby boy emerging from a cabbage. This jug is also known in a green colorway. Orchies model numbers are a combination of letters and numbers. The letters are an abbreviation for the name of the jug and the number is the size of the jug.
