Armand Fallieres majolica toby jug produced by Thulin of Belgium circa 1900. Armand Fallieres (1841-1931) was a French statesman and eighth President of the French Third Republic from 1899 until 1906 when he was succeeded by Raymond Poincare. Depicted as a drunkard sitting in a wine barrel, Fallieres was well known as a man who loved fine things and fine wine. He owned a winery in Loupillon, France.
