Alderman Mace The Mayor toby jug - Royal Doulton 1987 - 1991

Alderman Mace The Mayor 3/4 body toby jug designed by William K. Harper and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, from 1987 to 1991. The elected Lord Mayor of Doultonville, Harry Mace has served for many years on the city councils, working hard to bring prosperity and honor to the community; to modernize, while preserving the ancient past and proud tradition of historic Doultonville. From modest beginnings he has risen to become a prominent businessman, ably supported by his wife, Hetty, a strong forthright lady, well known as a raiser of funds for Doultonville's charities and hospitals. Alderman Mace wear the traditional Mayor's robe with fur trimmed collar, large lace cravat and massive gold chain carrying a medallion with the Doultonville heraldic arms. He holds an engraved silver trowel for the ceremonial lying of the foundation stones of a new building. This is one of twenty-five Doultonville toby jugs.
