Toby jug Blue Willow - William Kent circa 1900

Toby jug produced in a Blue Willow design by William Kent of Burslem, England, circa 1900. This Toby jug is in the form of a Squat Toby, an Ordinary Toby seated on the ground with his left leg resting on the ground and right leg propped up. This Squat Toby is holding a cup in his left hand and a pitcher of ale in his right. There is beautiful Blue Willow decoration around Toby's jacket. This piece bear's William Kent's Old Staffordshire Ware England backstamp on the bottom.
