The Postman toby jug - Kevin Francis Ceramics circa 1989

The Postman toby jug modeled by Peggy Davies and produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 1989 limited edition of 1,500. Postmen perform collecting, processing and delivering mail to residences and businesses. They are responsible for collecting and sorting letters and parcels; delivering mail to residences and business establishments according to the specified routes; returning incorrectly addressed mail to senders; getting receivers' signatures for registered mail; operating postal equipment; recording address changes and redirecting mail for those addresses; handling counter transactions and answering customers' enquiries about postal services. A bag of mail forms the handle of this jug.
