Schoolmaster medium faience character jug produced by Desvres circa 1890. The Schoolmaster has the difficult task of teaching young children the subject matter at hand which is French. This jug is a replica of the Thomas Forester Schoolmaster character jug that has the word "Language" hand painted across its back. The mark is Mont St. Michel.
