Pub Orator toby jug - Staffordshire Fine Ceramics circa 1975

Pub Orator toby jug produced by Staffordshire Fine Ceramics of Tunstall, England, circa 1975. A pub orator is a person with a golden voice and a wide variety of stories and local gossip at hand. Establishing his presence at a local pub and entertaining the patrons evening after evening, pub orators attract business for the innkeepers. With an infinite capacity for beer, they often drink for free the entire evening. The Pub Orator toby jug was produced from original Shaw & Sons molds of The Singer.
