Postman teapot produced by Artone Pottery of Burslem, England, circa 1980. Postmen perform collecting, processing and delivering mail to residences and businesses. They are responsible for collecting and sorting letters and parcels; delivering mail to residences and business establishments according to the specified routes; returning incorrectly addressed mail to senders; getting receivers' signatures for registered mail; operating postal equipment; recording address changes and redirecting mail for those addresses; handling counter transactions and answering customers' enquiries about postal services.
