Pirate character jug produced by Legend in Macclesfield, England, circa 1985. A pirate is a buccaneer of piratical adventurers who raided Spanish colonies and ships along the American coast in the second half of the 17th century. After months at sea, this pirate is relaxing at a pub along the coast. A flintlock pistol forms the handle of the jug.
