Pirate character jug produced by Holland Mold of Trenton, New Jersey, circa 1960. A pirate is a buccaneer of piratical adventurers who raided Spanish colonies and ships along the American coast in the second half of the 17th century. After months at sea, this pirate is relaxing at a pub along the coast. The tassel of his hat forms the handle of the jug.
