Pirate character jug produced in Japan for Artmark of Chicago, Illinois, circa 1980. A pirate is a buccaneer of piratical adventurers who raided Spanish colonies and ships along the American coast in the second half of the 17th century. After months at sea, this pirate is relaxing at a pub along the coast. A pistol forms the handle of the jug.
