Obyedalo toby jug produced in Russia circa 1880. This female ordinary toby jug depicts a woman seated in a chair. She is holding a bowl with a cup inside of it in her left hand and pitcher with her right. A removeable cap forms the top of her hat. Russian factories redesigned the popular
Martha Gunn Toby jug into Obyedalo, meaning heavy eater, thus depicting her with a bowl of kasha, or porridge.
