Mr. Butler toby jug produced by Fielding & Company of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1960 using its Crown Devon tradename. The butler greets guests at the door, assists in the planning of events and dinner parties, oversees table settings, and serves drinks and food. They will also manage the wine cellar and may have responsibility over other staff. The Crown Devon mark on the bottom was used by the pottery from roughly the 1930s onward.
